Description
Lack of funding isn’t the problem.
Lack of clarity, connection, and communication is.
Nonprofits don’t struggle because they’re unworthy of support — they struggle because they’re too busy doing the work to stop and tell the story of their impact in a way that inspires action. When your mission is clear and your messaging aligns with the right donors, fundraising becomes a natural result.
✅ Answer the core questions:
• Where is the next level of funding hiding — and how do you access it?
• What strategic steps will move you from surviving on small gifts to securing long-term, mission-aligned funding?
✅ Create a roadmap to:
• Engage your ideal donors in ways that are authentic and repeatable
• Build funding pipelines beyond events and small campaigns
• Communicate your impact with clarity and conviction
✅ Walk away with plug-and-play tools to accelerate growth:
• Grant-ready proposal templates
• Donor appeal letter & email templates
• A presentation slide deck for pitching corporate or major gift donors
• Session notes + recommended action steps
• Immediate, actionable next steps tailored to your team’s capacity
Bring your team (up to 10 participants — including board members and stakeholders) and leave with a unified, growth-ready game plan.

About The Trainer
Lisa Torres served as Senior Development Officer for Habitat for Humanity International’s Individual Giving team. Over the last past 10 years, she has specialized in connecting major and mega donors more closely to the mission on International NGOS like Habitat for Humanity and World Vision. Through her portfolios, she has consistently raised $1,000,000 per year. She is adept at portfolio management, donor relationships, collaborative partnerships within communities and diaspora philanthropy.
At World Vision (2006-2012), she was responsible for donors in the Southern part of Florida, from the Keys to Jupiter and across to Naples and Fort Myers. She managed a portfolio of 100+ high net worth donors and prospects that had an interest in supporting international projects benefitting children, families, and communities. She successfully increased the presence of World Vision in a market where it had limited recognition by engaging donor partners as ambassadors, inviting their peers to learn more about their mission. Through that effort, over $1,000,000 was raised for Haiti in partnership with individuals, corporations, academia, churches and other interested organizations.
